Meet Daniel and Abbey! I went to elementary, middle and high school with Abbey. I bet I could dig up some really good old photos of us…but I won’t. I was delighted when Abbey asked me to photograph her wedding. Originally Abbey wanted a bridal shoot instead of an engagement shoot, but we ended up not being able to do the bridal shoot. I am happy we ended up doing an engagement shoot because look how adorable they are! Daniel and Abbey were one of the most laid back couples I’ve ever photographed. Albuquerque + International Balloon Fiesta

The beginning of October a few of my best friends went on a road trip to visit one of our dear friends Sarah. After graduation, Sarah moved out to ABQ to work for a church that we do missions with. How cool! We strategically planned to visit during the weekend of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It was a surreal experience seeing hundreds of hot air balloons fill up the sky. I’d definitely recommend going.

Our first half day in ABQ we had some time to kill, so we went and found Walter White’s house from the show Breaking Bad. The family who owns the house has lived there for more than 30 years. Note all the NO TRESPASSING signs. They were serious about it.

We also found Jesse Pinkman’s house (supposedly). My friends Sarah and Callista were a little excited.

We got to the fairgrounds for the mass ascension at 4 a.m. It was so worth it despite being a little cold and tired. This shot was before sunrise.

Marshall Wallace {September 27, 2014}

This handsome fellow is Marshall. I took Marshall’s sister, Emily, senior photos when she graduated from high school in 2011. Little did I know I’d be contacted by the Wallace family again for Marshall’s senior photos a few years later. For Marshall’s shoot, we roamed around downtown OKC, a place where I am still fairly unfamiliar with, even though I venture down there quite often. Luckily, his parents knew where some cool spots were and now I do too! Marshall was a natural poser and has such a genuine smile. Thanks Marshall and the rest of the Wallace clan for the fun and adventurous shoot. See you guys soon!

Absence + August Adventures

Hello all! I have been quite absent from the photography/blogging world recently. I took some time off from my business during the end of July and all of August because simply I was burned out. I was tired of photo shoots and constantly behind on editing. I practically had a photo shoot every weekend for the past year and a half. So I took a break and did some traveling. And let me tell you, I miss my job so much. So now that I am getting back into the swing of things, I thought I would show you some photos from my travels! I went of a girl’s road trip in the southwest with some of my very best friends. We visited Albuquerque, Phoenix, The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Flagstaff, and other places. It was such a blast. I am so in love with the southwest. My next trip I went on was to northern California with a friend. I saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time ever! AND we went to Yosemite National Park and it was absolutely breathtaking. Lastly, I took a trip to visit family in Pennsylvania. I didn’t take any photos there because I was too busy enjoying my time with the family.

Oakley & Morgan’s Engagement {June 28, 2014}

This newly engaged couple is Oakley and Morgan! Oakley and Morgan are both friends of mine through our college ministry. Oakley asked me to photograph their engagement, knowing that Morgan would want these photos. Good, good man. This was my first time photographing an actual engagement. It was so fun! I wore all black thinking I was going to hide in the trees, but little did I know that I would be in the sun room. But nether-the-less, I absolutely LOVE these photos.
